Located in the East North Central part of the United
States in the area of the Great Lakes is the state of
Michigan. The state was named after Lake Michigan and
the name Michigan means large lake, or great lake. There
are a lot of places in the state of Michigan that still
hold onto the small town appeal but you can also find
some larger cities in the state.
The courthouses used to be a lot more crowded at one time with people doing public records research. Now you can locate the same records on the Internet and you don't have to leave your office to go to the courthouse and research these land records.
