Being one of the 5 Middle Atlantic States in the USA,
Delaware was one of the 13 original colonies. It is
known and goes by the motto of the "first state"
and in fact this does hold some weight because it was
the first state to ratify the US Constitution. It is
the 46th most populous state in the United States according
to the 2000 Census.
